DAY 1
Today was all about experimenting with white space.
We were given briefs and we combined them with white space and actions to create experimented outcomes.
To be honest, it was a bit confusing at first because it was our first time working with white space.
We were discovering what it is and its importance in the graphic communication design world.
At the end of the day, we left knowing a bit more about white space and its application in the world and its potential.
We learnt that in the world we are living in today, it is essential to have white space in order to think, to be, to get inspired and to be creative.
We finally completed a couple reflection questions that helped us get a clearer idea of todays work:

1 – which research references have been the most interesting to you? And why?
White space and visual arts have been the most interesting to me, the way they use it as a negative space turning it into a part of the piece
2 – Evaluate each of your experiments and suggest ways in which each could be further developed. (consider combining experiments)
Letterform: this experiment was really interesting because it included my interest in negative space and visual arts whereas I used white space as a negative one and made it part of the piece.

3- Are there any briefs you did not do today which you would like to try, having seen other student’s work?
No, all briefs seemed interesting, however, I was satisfied by the results I got from the briefs I worked on.
DAY 2
We started off the day with small group sessions sharing our research about manifestos and perceiving different ways of creating them.
We then moved on to creating our own manifestos about white space and then wrote it using IDesign.
We progressed into planning our next step which was combining the manifesto to one of the white space briefs.
I was inspired by the letterform brief to make my final outcome.
